Less sugar, less plastic waste, and continuous access are three reasons to set up a portable water refill station within your educational facility. A water station contains an internal filtering system that will eliminate contaminants and provide a constant supply of fresh drinking water.

A Refill Setup

A portable refill station contains recessed nozzles, a holding tank, and a water line connection. As water enters the interior chamber, it will run through a series of filters. Contaminants will be trapped within a separate area from where water will be dispensed.

Due to the recessed design of the nozzles, contamination between a water bottle or cup and the dispensing equipment will be prevented. Some water stations contain two or more dispensers, This will allow multiple people to be served water at the same time.

Some Extra Features

Portable water refill stations are widely used in commercial businesses, such as offices, food service industries, and hospitality venues. They can also be used to encourage hydration during sporting events, community gatherings, or group meals.

If you currently have vending machines set up on your educational facility's campus, students and teachers may be inclined to purchase sugary or caffeinated beverages during the day. A portable refill station can be used as a replacement for the existing lineup of drinks that you offer. Besides offering your pupils and staff members the opportunity to drink pure water to stay hydrated, you will also be providing them with the incentive to save money each day.

A refill station allows an end user to take advantage of the water supply that is currently available. If public or well water access is provided throughout your facility, you can attach a water line to the refill station when needed. A refrigeration feature will require you to plug a refill station in.

Many portable units contain a flat base and a wheel conversion. A station can remain in one part of the building or can be moved around the premises. If there will be an outdoor sporting event that many students will be attending, teachers and other staff members will not need to make multiple trips indoors to prepare beverages.

A portable unit can be pushed outdoors and will supply plenty of water throughout an entire event. If you would like to encourage your students to cut back on the amount of plastic that they use, offer a biodegradable cup to each person who is going to dispense water from the portable unit.
